SMOKY MOUNTAIN ELK FEST HAS BEEN CANCELLED

The HCTDA has made the tough decision to cancel the Smoky Mountain Elk Fest this weekend due to the forecasted weather from Hurricane Ian. Safety of our event visitors is top priority.

Elk Fest may be cancelled but we’re still celebrating the Elk at the Haywood County Visitor Center located at 1110 Soco Road, Maggie Valley.

Come see us Thursday through Saturday to experience The Great Elk Tour, a traveling conservation exhibit that showcases some of the largest bull elk in the world and promotes why great elk need great habitat. Also make a stop in the visitor center for snacks and souvenirs.
